My fate engraved, the road is paved, I embrace it willingly
I surrender, peace so tender, I accept it fearlessly
The end inevitable, expectations incredible, giving up eagerly...

Heartbeat is fading, endless sleep is waiting, coming oh so fast
Quickly going, no controlling, everything is past
Finally smiling, no tears, no crying, sweet happiness at last
There's no explaining, no complaining, my emotions are so vast...

I have had far too many of those days, but only on the days that end in Y...

Very appreciable theme, nicely conveyed. The rhymes are fluid, and the rhythm does not falter much. A very solid piece, very enjoyable read.
