oh, love! why do you leave me live my life alone?
sans mate nor heart in warmth of his embrace? my home
and life have never known these but a minutes breath-
oh love, you have abandoned me whence i shant know it;
for now it is too late; no longer am i young.

oh, love! why is it that me thinks of what could be?
ever wishing you to join me in my world; where art thou?
why do you leave this mind and soul to ponder, wander,
so many years spent missing love; when i should have
been kissing, love.

Nessa, my dear, we are never to old and few hearts ever get to cold to love. One day it is going to come to you again and it may not be the firey passionate love of youth but it will be quiet and peaceful and contented and last forever.

Hugs,
Rita

I know how deeply from your heart this was penned ((nessa)). Such sadness my dear friend, I wish I could ease your pain. You know that even though I may be silent at times, I am always here for you if you need me.

That last verse was pretty powerful,it's like the cherry on the banana split,it completes it perfectly.I love your poetry,it's unique in it's own genre and your flow of words is exceptional.May the lead in your pencil(or emotions of your heart) never run out on such great poetry.
Beautifully done as always,

PumpkinPie
