felo-de-se intersection

Contributed by ladyfawn on Saturday, 1st May 2004 @ 06:02:40 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

the intersections of life almost ended me
now there is something i want you to see
life as we know, has its ups and downs
but im here to say its worth sticking around
the pain that you feel, i know is all too real
right now your not living with any kind of zeal
i will not say, to stay here it is your duty
but you will surely miss out on so much beauty

how will you ever truely know all seasons
when to the world you give these reasons
great things that seem so very far away
will truely come to you on another day
i once was exactly right where you are
and i don't mean the accident in the car
life is a precious gift, i know this today
and i wouldn't live it any other way

no matter your age life can make you sad
its not 'cause your young, old, good or bad
have you ever stopped to wonder this;
out there is someone that what you have they so wish
that they too could walk, sing, write, hear, see, speak
but they cannot for their bodies are weak
some people are hanging on by a thread
but the last thing they want is to be dead

it is worth the wait to see a pink sunset
from someone special, that hugg you will get
the song of the birds singing how life is sweet
many memories you can make and always keep
life is funny how it changes so quickly
it needs not your hand to end it, so much yet to see
for after every fall there is an inevitable climb
no matter whats happened; believe me life can be sublime

death may seem romantic; surely then all will know
that you hated your life and wanted to go
but think about after, what will it be?
what if there's something you now do not see?
what if you had to live your life again all over?
and there wasn't pleasures, like things you now know
consider these things before taking deaths quick kiss
...could be true about karma and conscienceness...

Well I wished for this poem awhile ago and did some shameless begging. Whats that saying about good things coming to those who wait?

One of your best poems and packed with your signature trademark of emotion.

Thank you for sharing this with everyone who hasn't had the chance to read your masterpieces.

Kie

Very powerfull write!
This is very touching.
Even I have struggled with suicdal thoughts but thank God I couldn't do that to my luved ones that would be left to find to struggle with guilt that could never have been there's.
I'm so happy to see this as we need 2 reach the struggling that don't know where to turn.
I've found that most of the time they jus need to know someone luvs them and can show them trust.
Life is definently worth living!
Great job with this write. It shows the beauty of your eternal soul.
luv, huggs, faith, hope peace, prayer,
emy

The words are so true, And you woudn't be surprised to hear me say 'I was there too', and believe me, I was. I've done everything to myself, there are still marks in my body that I can never remove. Eternal marks, when I cut myself.
And this poem made me realize something better was out there for everyone.

This is a really awesome poem, I will stay a bit longer now, thank you for putting this one up- I have struggled with thoughts of suicide for a long time, you have given me much to think about Ms Ladyfawn and touched me inside, if you do not mind I would like to print this off and hang it in my room.

I thought that this was a repost... I remembered the name... when I saw it near the top in your authors account I thought I was losing my mind.. been thinking that alot lately (that I'm losing my mind).

Your words inspire, as they did before. You posted it at the right time for me then, and you've done the same for others now.

Love and hugs,
Jaime

Brilliant - and you said it all so perfectly. I've had such crap in my life lately - but I like you am far too curious about tomorrow - and I saw the sweetest little bird outside my kitchen window, hopping around the pine tree in the rain - made my day, such a little thing. Hope anyone who is considering harming themselves will get the help they need - because all you have to do is ask -

hugs
merry

This is a good and true poem. In a lot of ways this is not a poetry site as much as it is people giving each other advice on how to live, like being friends.

"Keep lit the candle to edify
keep safe the light of friendship
Kind words do justice and purify
the truth can never be relinquished"

I will reminiss on the words of your poem the next time Im feeling low, empty & hopeless. Such fabulous use of words well recited & excellently distributed evenly throughout.
Well appreciated. Thanks

Wow, very inspirational. If it's okay I would like to print this out. And I bet that this could help my friend out as well and it could help others as well. This is a masterpiece.
