Array ( [sid] => 45745 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Homo Will Not Inherit [time] => 2004-05-01 13:35:35 [hometext] => James Dobson is holding an anti-gay rally in Seattle today. When will we stop breeding hate? [bodytext] => Homo will not inherit
the kingdom of Christ

Walking downtown
steam rises from the street
smell of lylac, fresh fish and tourists

Shattered image of Jesus
in quotations
"Homo will not inherit the kingdom of God
repent and be saved"

Yes, Mr. Fallwell, it's our fault
for the moral decay of the country.

Yes, Mr. Robertson, it's our fault
for the fall of the Towers-
God is punishing America for our sins.

I'll tell you what I'll inherit.
The creeping asphault jungle

of light and death.
Smoke pouring out
into the rain stained streets

quelching the fire
of these oh-so-sin-tarnished souls
who were brought here
to sing of life and love

and for you to never understand.
Who is the real sinner?

Homo will not inherit-
I'll show you what I'll inherit.

Arms outstretched
expecting nothing
gaining everything

from a God who loves
yes

even this homo.
This homo will inherit
the harsh rise

of a welcoming skyline.
The burning life
of a city awaiting
the hushed kiss of night

where yes,
the homos come out to play.

The salted air
carrying prayers
that will not touch
your blood stained pockets.

We will inherit
the Kingdom as it should be,
not as you would have it.

The urban spirit
dances in its seduction
and punishes our mouths
with the most

sinful pleasure.
This homo will inherit
things that you

will never know.

Bright and on fire
I have my Kingdom.

Very succinctly put. One could only wonder how a person who professes to believe in god could assign such limited values to him.
We are only human after all, I guess.
Good write.

Good write. It seems folly to oppose the gay rights movement. Fighting an idea whose time has come has never worked.

Very to the point. I like this alot.

What humans do not understand they fear. And what they fear they kill. It's sad, and reading this after reading a rant regarding racial hatred; well it just makes me despise humanity even more. Save for those enlightened souls that think outside the box. If only more could think past their own little minds!

peace
TS
