A fellow poet, a fine upstanding man,
NYPD, he claimed as his homeland!
Now he's been injured and cannot see.
We all love him, his comments, and poetry!

Norm is his name, and he hates it.
Like it or not, care less, we love his wit.
Limericks, perfectly written, no competition!
Enthusiastic poems filled with lively action!

Knowledgeable for a 28 year old man.
Reporter of poems, he's like a hard-nosed newsman!
More than newsy, they are delightfully funny.
Some bouncy, others bravely told,
with subtlety!

His spirits are high, with the help of
his sweet little wife.
Let's keep him flying, soaring in the clouds,
without strife!
E-mail him at NormTurkel@aol.com this
very day.
Hopefully they can help him to see again,
send him a "high-spirited" bouquet!

His message is: "I love all you poets,
everyone of you.
As soon as I can see again, I'll post
for review!
In the meantime, poetize your wonderful poetry.
When I'm able I'll critique each one,
lovingly and free!"

(P.S. That's not fair, he charges me a 10 cent fee!)
