climbing into the front seat
of a black T-Bird
losing his virginity
among the smell of beer, a water bed and porn.

Why a boy why a man laid there
covered by the body of his lover
knowing those moments were stolen in secret
in a bed that wasn't his

Why a man why a boy followed blindly
submitting to why a man would describe him
with whatever adjective rolled off his drunken tongue

Why a man would lay with a boy
why a boy would allow it, laughing
in the face of a god he cared nothing for
sneaking carnal kisses here and here

Why a man why a boy drank
coming to with a nameless face in his bed
lips cracked and dry, head pounding
sheets stained
oh god, was it safe?

Why a boy why a man moved
flying over land to that far away peninsula
searching for answers
finding them on the dance floor
tongue swelling in a man's mouth
discovering truths in a man's bed

Why a boy why a man
came back
seduced by another city
sprawling life and cement
no thoughts of the black T-Bird

And now I undestand

Your words leave me breathless. Grotesque yet erotic. Such a sense of reality and truth. Very well done

Peace,

Kayan
