Threatening to burst forth and overflow,
It finds its way.
Gently flowing around the obstacles,
In its path, or in a rush,
Carrying them away.
It has its ups and downs,
Falling, Crashing, Roaring,
But after the turbulence,
It reforms, flowing again,
To continue it's journey.
Meandering this way or that,
Though always steadfast in its goal,
Into the waiting arms of the sea.

Love is like a mighty river,
Tumbling over the rocky bed of life,
Moving, slowly and surely.
At times caressing the shoreline,
Like a lover's touch.
All at once, in a raging torrent,

It finds its way.

This is so beautifully written ...this took me to the thoughts i had on where i want to be when i pass on from this world..Love does i agree have it's ups and downs but to be put into the sea as you have put it here is absolutely breathtaking....i've never seen the ocean nor been out on the sea...but i want to ....it's a dream of mine i intend on making come true one day....i think you my friend for sharing such beautiful poetry through your heart.....i will be reading more of your poetry ....
