I saw this road straight ahead.
Staring down this road
Fear arose, panic, and dread.
Stopping the journey this road I closed.
Each time missing the reason to travel forward.
Many roads I have traveled,
Growing weary and slow today.
Knowing life's road
Was the way to go.
Standing the courage
The sign removed...
Down this road I ventured,
Slowly feeling my troubles unravel,
Left me contemplating this new adventure.
Knowing life's road was the way to go.
Many boulders will block this way.
At times left only seeing darkness.
Instead of the light of day.
Walking on until the light shines through.
Pushing the heavy darkness away.
This road less traveled,
Has to lead me home,
Allowing my eyes to see
Life's true reality.
Not the fallen coward
I don't want the world to see. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 239 [topic] => 62 [informant] => HOPE4ME2 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => spiritual )

Beautiful poem... well written... reminds me of one I wrote called "The Long Walk Home"
I'll have to pull that one out and post it here...
Keep writing...

You've bared your heart for us to see... the outcome was amazing. Strength to you.
Take care.
