Love Is...

Contributed by mickie on Thursday, 29th April 2004 @ 10:27:54 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Love is...
Like sitting down at the blackjack table,
trying one hand for all the winnings,
holding nothing back...
Hit me!!! Give me everything you got!!!
One chance to claim it all, one chance to be true,
I've lost a few hands, it's all in the rules.
But I'm willing to bet it all.
Some in the crowd think I'm foolish, while others cheer me on.
Truly, but surely the battle is lost, but the war I can still win!
I hold my breath and wait for the card to be turned over...
Did I win? Did I lose?
Only you can tell me!
