It wonders the lonely world, softly and dreamy.

It rises over waterfalls, crashing with noise.
It wonders over children, snatching up their toys.

It floats down low, mysteriously, above the ground.
Then very, very gently, it all comes down.

To where, it destroys, minds of the strong,
Turning happiness to suffering, and goodness to wrong.

It sucks out warmth, from all living souls.
By cutting out nice things, turning people cold!

It runs round riot, and contributes to pain,
It smashes up room for kindness, leaving its black stain.

Until one day, big, dark, rivers flow through the earth,
And people turn to monsters with scars of hurt!

And the sky is always black, instead of milky blue.
And the world shakes from the impact, of being wrongly used.

And shadows turn, to lumps of fear, coated in blackness,
Then out of this, comes the monster,
‘The Silhouette Of Darkness’!!

Talking about an appalling echo there, mate. Nice write, sentences were well put together.

It was good indeed.
Only a spelling error or two.
Could use a little more consistant rhyme to it.
The difference in stanza length throws off the flow a bit.
Nicely done overall though.

I really like the way your poem touches the reader, creating a saddened state of worry. Great write.
