you say was a mistake,
he'd bring you roses in the morning,
they're plastic and fake,
was the scent of love flowers,
ever real,
wither and die away,
now i know how they feel,

hang the roses to dry,
so forever they'll last,
press them in a book,
to bookmark our past,
watch your happy marriage,
slowly decay,
but like everything else,
you threw it away,

and like everything else,
i feel thrown away.

I felt every word........you see years ago I too divorced........and my son was young.......he is my life and I told him so.......I have never been out of his sight for a day......so I hope one of your parents and even both...feel toward you as I do my son.......you are the most important one.

Thank you for sharing this.

Awww i'm so sorry to hear about your parents. It has to be a tough time for you. You expressed all your pain so beautifully in this poem.

You touched my heart.
