Are you listening I’ve been meaning to talk to you,

I needed to tell you how I feel,

I had to show you how much you mean to me,

Maybe if I talk to you,

I can make it right,

Maybe you can help me get up off my knees,

Every single day you’ve been on my mind,

I know its wrong but I love you,

I try everyday to leave this behind me,

Remember the way you touched my hand,

It felt so right, like nothing could take you away,

It will never turn out the way I’ve planned ,

I didn’t want to love you,

But the way you hold me leaves me with no choice,

I need to be a part of everything you do,

I sometimes dream about us kissing,

Remember that time I was crying,

And you held me so closely?

I should have done it then,

I should have looked deep into your eyes

And kissed you with a kiss that meant more than love,

I would have had to run away after,

Because I know you wouldn’t feel the same,

But maybe one day you’ll run after me,

Run after me and tell me you need me too,

Tell me you understand what I’m going through,

But that’s just a dream, this is reality,

Reality says you might turn your back on me,

It said don’t do it he’ll run from you,

He’s just a nice guy looking for a good friend,

I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with you,

We were meant to be friends and guide each other through life,

With distant hands and distant minds,

But my mind is not distant from yours,

My hand wants to hold yours,

I want to be yours and only yours forever,

But you will never be mine,

You will hold onto your mind and your hands alone,

And I will live forever knowing I am wrong for loving you,

Surely it's worth telling him! If he's your friend he won't mind will he. I just feel really sorry for you and hope you get what you want. Great poem by the way.
