Softly as ripples of the night and day and night...
oh, coyotes, yip and yip across frosted moonlight,

Squirrels crack nuts and leave upon stumps shells
every direction takes path to the woods deep wells,

Great moaning melodies from oak branches and limbs
Silence in the air and the fragrant crisp earth she sings,

Swift, high above the river, keen the clever crows flies
blackbirds visit grains neglected apple parts goodbye,

Noble creature palamino mare, breath upon my face
friend she listens as I speak in judgement nay no trace,

as softly the ripples of the night and day and night...

The picture is pure beauty in all it's forms and the poem, the poem was really touching and magical. I love your nature poems, they seem to point out what each and every one of us relates to...Even when everything else gets bad around you, go outside, be amongst the always wonderful sky, tree, earth. Wonderful Nessa, I'm so glad you reposted this.

This was magical. The flow and rhyme complimented each other. The title was perfect for the poem. I could quote each and every line because this was fantastic to read.
