You tore the dreams down I made with you.
Never giving a chance.
Thinking things will be of the past.
I thought you were here to guide me.

The smoke rises think and dark.
My knees are stained from hours of prayer.
Why cant god give me my angel.
Of all time why has he forsakend me now.
Why god why?

To think that I wanted to be like you.
Make my feelings go numb.
I hate everything now.
My life will never be that same.

Why must I hurt like this.
It hurts even worse to know that Ive done it to myself.
Why cant I be happy.
Why does closure hide from me.,
Why god why?

You know, you maybe should try reading the book of Job.... it's a real good story to read when dealing with pain like this, and anger at God.... I've been looking at it a lot lately. Just a quick thought.
I think it'd be worth reading....
But in any case, this is a well written poem (though I do hope you find the comfort you're looking for.... it may not always come in the most expected places, but I hope it comes.)

Love,
Ellen

Amen Mortis. Faith in religion is Bolgna, Faith in people only causes pain, Faith in yourself is the only faith worth harboring. Thank you for this post, I thoroughly enjoy it, it touched somewhere I understand.
