Array ( [sid] => 44730 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Storm [time] => 2004-04-25 10:33:54 [hometext] => I wrote this poem during a thunderstorm. My favorite display of mother nature. [bodytext] => I like the storm.
The thundering roars and the
rain pelts steadliy and strongly,
yet softly down,
and the harsh, brilliant flashes
of lightning,
nature acting out my emotions.
Sometimes a sense of calm,
nothing to fear,
Other times an uproar of raw emotions,
conjuring up inside me and
exploding out into the tumbling skys.
We are the storm.

The storm comforts me.
It lets me know,
I'm not the only one with
emotions.
I listen to it to make sense of
myself,
inside of me.
I am the storm.

The storm understands me.
As I project my feelings
to the world,
It knows me,
Acts accordingly,
as the barriers of my soul
come tumbling down,
It roars fiercely,
telling the world
in a valant display of me.
I know the storm.

I like the storm.
It shocks lives and rattles
foundations,
just the way I do.
Always new thoughts, new feelings,
new colors,
As I am swept away,
by my own self.
We are the storm. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 183 [topic] => 43 [informant] => eviegirl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 13 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Storms are not all about rage... you've written such a revealing poem about the wonder of nature and the connection that we can share. I've really enjoyed this eviegirl.... have a good evening. June
