With hope she seems to be set in motion
On her way to the coast, her mind on the ocean
Past deserts, mountains and dust- sweet ardour potion.

She bleeds despair in every scratch
The ease of it all with the strike of a match
The games she plays with her heart is catch
On her roadtrip to love, what will she snatch?

Hope or despair
Love or devotion
Calloused or abraded
Senseless emotion.

She put her thoughts on trial
To her each moment lasted only a mile
This road trip planned to her style
But every second seems so worthwhile.

She placed her emotions on the line
The journey is long as she counts each sign
Her heart beats feelings; and his intertwine
With every though in her veins, devine.

the last line is: truth...senseless emotion. Always listen to the mind. Ignore the heart. great write...although I didn't understand the match...

This is powerful. It does indeed give a sense of hope, yet also a distinct longing. I can feel every emotion here, and i've felt that way before as well.

Of course, the rhymes you used were smooth, and the descriptions perfectly vivid. Great, great work as always Lindsey.

Love is the thought that all of us share, and a trip to seek, is never so bleak, as to not allow mile by mile, the heaven of the thought.

Perfect write, and a perfect dream.

I enjoyed reading this. There were several images that I found original and intriguing to my mind, although the rhythm needs a little work.
However, your imagery has improved since the last time i read one of your poems, and that's definately a good thing.
Keep writing.
