Would you treat me differently?

If you knew that I was carrying guilt, other's burdens, and grief in my heart,
Would you try to comfort me and ask if everything is alright?

If you knew that I would never see tomorrow,
Would you make today the best for me?

If you knew that I were to go to hell,
Would you try and witness to me?

If you knew that there was pain when you looked in my eyes,
Would you give me a shoulder to cry on?

If you knew the thing I loved most,
Would you give it to me even though you wanted it instead?

If you knew the acts of how I were to die,
Would you try to save me?

If you knew that I was dealing drugs,
Would you try to stop me?

If you knew that all was right,
Would you still be my friend when other's turn their heads? Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
