Reaching For A Star

The fog lifts to clear a path of light
revealing the stars that shine in the night.
My fingers reach and touch the space
much like they trace the lines in your face.
Gently I take the shapeless star
wonder just how many more there are.
I wake and find clutched in my hand
a grain of shimmering sand.
The connection I may never know
but the experience will forever show
that I can still dream, no matter the time
cause stars and sand rest in this heart of mine.

Everything is from one, unity.
All things are signifacant. No matter how small or big. That's the connection.
You can dream no matter the time.
