Journeys through her mind alone,
The tears, the calm and smiles she grasps,
All shreds of emotion she calls her own.

And as she writes, she views all things,
From the perspective of her heart,
Observing the flinch that others overlook,
Setting this beautiful being apart.

A poet, when she begins to write,
A fragment of her soul flows from the pen,
She cares not for what the ignorant think,
With her passion in tact, alone she stands.

A poet, when she is indulged in words,
Cannot play the role of anybody else,
For as the inky drips equip the canvas,
The poet is finally at her best. [comments] => 10 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 25 [informant] => blueheart [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 37 [ratings] => 8 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

Truely said.. a poet is at their best in the acting of their words the paitings of their poems. A quaint picture that delves into the reality of a poet's mind and soul...
