[bodytext] => They say... the eyes are windows to the soul
Reflections of life... things best left untold
Sometimes... they betray the thoughts held deep inside
The saddness... the loneliness... you try to hide
Behind all the joy and happiness in your life
But all are exposed... in the light of the Rising Son
For all the world to look upon
As the storms of life rage on and on...

I look into your eyes...
Just one look... one glimpse inside
I see the saddness of a frightened child staring back at me
Nobody seems to love or know
Just a nameless... faceless shadow
Wandering through this dark life alone
Never knowing where you're coming from or even where you're going to
Just trying to seek shelter from the storms of life
As they rage on and on...

You're at a crossroads in your life
Never knowing... which way to go
Or even who's a friend or a foe
You're desparate... you're scared that you're all alone on the journey through life
You've got to learn to stand on your own and fight... to survive it all
As the thunder rolls... the lightening strikes
And the storms of life rage on and on...

I look deeper into your eyes...
Just one look... one glimpse inside
I find myself surrounded by a life... tossed and torn
Thrown upon a lonely sea of broken promises and empty dreams
You've led a life of confusion and pain
Sometimes making it through the hard rains
As they flood your soul and sweep you away
And the storms of life rage on and on...

Deeper and deeper I go
More and more I know
You're reaching out hoping for someone to rescue you
To hold you the whole night through
And carry you into the daylight hour
Away from the storms of life and all their power
As they rage on and on...

Only for a little while does this soothe the ache
When the waters receede... what's left behind... you don't need
All the bruises and scars upon your heart
These things are tearing you apart
The storm clouds gather on the horizon once again
You try to run away and hide... only to find... the storm is closing in
The closer it does... the darker your life becomes
Until you can no longer see the light of the Rising Son
The storms of life rage on and on...

The four winds of life violently blow
Each in a different direction they flow
Sweeping you out upon the open sea once again
As the thunder rolls from above and the lightening strikes at the sea
The storms of life rage on and on...

You're still holding on to some painful memories
When you should be letting go of...
Every mistake you've ever made...
Every misdeed you've ever done...
Every promise ever broken...
Every dream left unspoken of...
