love fades in gentle defeat.

Shadowed spirits gasp for air;
as hands choke them beyond despair.

Broken wings feel unmendable
when love seems so expendable.

Fate twines inner hate forever
when you always surrender.

People just come and go, steady flow;
always playing their part of the show.

With no escape but that in death,
and only true rest found, a bed of earth.

I should see some beauty in it all,
but too much flaw won't let beauty stand tall.

So for life I'm left laughing in the rain,
with every felt pain that won't let me explain.

Left looking crazy as the fool, my part;
when thoughts of suicide won't soon depart.
