Accused of a crime, I did not do
Please my lord, hear my plea
Listen to the facts, set me free

I was walking my dog, in the wood
Like any innocent person, if they could
My dog was sniffing, behind a tree
When I went over, her body stared up at me

Shocked, I just didn’t know, what to do
Felt for a pulse, but, I already knew
Already dead, there was no doubt
That’s when I heard, this voice shout out

Panicking, I turned and ran
To get away from, the eyes of this man
But he studied me and filed a report
That’s why I’m standing, in your court

I am innocent, set me free
My lord it’s the truth, please, believe me
I’ve been framed, to solve this crime
Cried my innocence, all this time

I have listened, with open mind
It’s up to the jury, your future to find
When they return, your fate they will know
Then you’ll know, if you’re free to go

How do you find the accused, guilty they say
Sentenced for life, take him away
I am innocent, hear me scream
