This is where you left me, here in jersey
This is where the rain
Doesn’t fall the same
Everyday here in jersey

This is where the stars don’t shine as bright
This is where the cars won’t drive at night
This is where your eyes
Dove into mine
Everyday here in jersey

You’re three thousand miles away as of yesterday
And I’m trying to deal with it
But things are always hard when we’re apart
And I’m dying from the feel of it
Just say you’ll come back to me someday
Someday here in jersey

This is where I’m waiting, here in jersey
This is where I’m patient, here in jersey
This is where my heart
Still falls apart
Everyday here in jersey

This is where my eyes won’t leave the ground
This is where my ears won’t hear a sound
This is where we’ll kiss
On nights like this

I want a night in jersey... that sounds completely enrapturing.

This is quite a powerful lyric, James. I enjoyed the cadence with which you repeated the daytime hours in Jersey. Very melodic-sounding.
Well done.
