I promise not to turn away.
I will stare into your eyes,
get lost in them all day,
and you will find me.

If you talk to me,
I promise not to speak.
All I will do is listen,
my ear is what you seek,
and there we will be.

If you want to hold me,
I promise not to move.
I will feel safe in your arms,
our bond will improve,
my fears will disappear.

If you come to love me,
I promise the feelings returned.
I will trust you with my heart,
from each other we will learn,
your soul with mine.

This I promise you.
