Since the day I saw you last
I've been trying to ignore it
But I can't rewrite the past
And I wouldn't want to if I had a chance

To hug you tightly in the morning
Till you're out of breath
I wish I built myself a castle
From all that I have left
Well, the world's such a different place
When I'm not anymore the one you chase

I felt myself breakdown
Just the other day
You turned around
But kept on going anyway
I will dream of you
Every summer night
Since that's the time
You took away your light

For every reason that I love you
There is a catch
The more you pull away
The more I have to stretch
My arms to reach you, but it's not enough

To listen to you humm the song
That makes me cry
Is just a little thing among thousands
That I can't leave behind
Well, I've spilled my love when it got over the top
Caught in a game, no way to stop

I felt myself breakdown
Just the other day
You turned around
But kept on going anyway
I will dream of you
Every summer night
Since that's the time
