Paper Heart Hero

Contributed by strange_lindsey on Wednesday, 21st April 2004 @ 02:39:04 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

He knew the folds and creases well
He grasped it gently in his fist
He planned each move with sharp precision
My paper heart he held; sun-kissed.

He concentrates discreetly on the hows
And prosecutes the whats and whys
Washes away my never evers
He watches my paper heart die.

In his eye a hot tear fell
In his mind he harbored tortured thoughts
If only he could have held my hand
If only he could have been my paper heart hero.
