Array ( [sid] => 44090 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The dream [time] => 2004-04-20 18:04:17 [hometext] => [bodytext] => I wake up in some kind of ship, I can hear the scream of the engines as we near a planet below.

As i sit up in my bunk, In this somewhat of a military drop ship, I'm wearing some kind of black military fatigues.

I notice, as I look to my left, a beautiful young woman about my age, wearing similar black fatigues.

She seems busy for a moment, as she loads her gun, Inserting a fresh magazine, and checking the action a few times before putting a round in the chamber.

I then look down, kind of tired and a bit confused. But as I look over to my right, I can see the same fire arm sitting by my bed.

I quickly pick it up, load it, and set all my gear.
Almost like I was familiar with my surroundings.

I had the feeling of power, as I stuck a combat knife into my boot.

Then over the intercom, anothers voice is heard.

They want us to gear up quickly, and after that, report to the release station. Telling us to ready ourselves to face the enemy.

This enemy I know not, but it would seem that as we near the planet, a huge battle can be seen below.

As we pierce the planets atmosphere, the dropships cabin starts to shake. I look to that beautiful woman in front of me, "Turbulence, I expect." I said to her with a small grin on my face.

She didnt seem to show much emotion as we neared the ground, not even a hint of fear. I lightly tapped her on the shoulder, and told her that everything was going to be alright. I told her to stay with me, and that I would protect her.

I felt that we both had something to accomplish, that we were brought here for a reason because of who we were.........If not only to leave our mark on the planet below us.

As this drop ship nears the ground, it starts to slow down and hover just a little above the surface.

Then, as the gears are dropped, we land with an abrupt shake. The latch in front of us opens, and both of us immediately dash out, running for cover from the bullets spraying everywhere.

As we gather ourselves, and start to fire back, we hit a few here and there, but are severely outnumbered.

Now injured, the both of us are running. She's been shot in the leg, aswell as the stomach, and I, in the right arm and the chest. So now I must carry her, to a safe place I must find.

Gone are we from the chaos, we just left it behind.

So here we are, just me and her, I hold her in my arms. She's bleeding so badly, and coughing up her life. What do I do?!...What do I do?!

The only thing I can do........

I start to comfort her, holding her prescious life in my arms, kissing her gently on the lips. Telling her that the pain would be over soon, IT WONT LAST THAT LONG, BABE...!!!!

She puts her soft hand to my cheek, wiping away my tears as she smiles. I hold her closely, telling her that I love her,....My tears now fully assumed.

And just before we both pass on........I tell her....................

I'll be along soon, hun..........I'll be along, soon........................
