The pain rides shotgun with the pleasure it brings
And my heart aches with joy
He was the greatest love of my life
A shoulder to cry on
To hear his voice for one second, I would give up my eternity
He stood like a valiant soldier
He was my hero
I looked up to him, and I wanted to be just like him
My little mind became a utopia of thoughts, of never parting
Losing him destroyed me
My heart burns with the memory of our love
I saw in his eyes the immense pride he felt for me
And I only wish I could look into those eyes again
I fear I'm forgetting the details of him
His laugh, touch, voice, scent
Like a fading memory, my tears fall away
And blend into an abyss hidden deep inside my heart
My lonely heart, no other could ever fill the void he has left
I miss him so much
I love him
My father, my protector, my love.
