Leaving home just yesterday
You'll discover whom when they arrive
To aid Earth's creatures in staying alive
Not too long now but the journey's far
Physically travelling from their distant star
Try not to panic when you see them land
They're holding out the friendship hand
I asked them through the powers of mind
For some help stopping wars of humankind
Debating long before decision
To embark upon this most historic of missions
Then they kindly agreed to come and assist
We must greet with love not a tightly clenched fist!
I look forward to seeing the look of surprise
On the faces of mockers, who'll apologise
For they can't be fooled by attempted deception
Not ruled by the bounds of human perception
They'll tell the truths of history
And upon return they've agreed to take me
Oh yeah not forgetting I'm allowed one other
If you're up to the ride inner peace you'll discover! hmmmm.... just wondering..... I think to such thoughts as well. but you write them more so eloquently then myself :) I do wish our Earth wasn't so into war. I believe in protecting ourselves, but to what extent will it cost? How much further will it go... NIce Write

I'm affraid Amber,

We'll push it too far, this time is no different. So-called civilisations have come and gone throughout human history!

In thousands of years they'll be digging up our buildings and veiwing our monuments and trinkets in just the same way we view the pyramids and other creations of previous peoples, guessing at what spiritual meanings they might've held for them, if any?

But what can we do? We elected the idiots! We allow ourselves to be governed by greed driven, senseless fools!

We can only try to live as happier life as is possible!

With love
Dean;-)

Dean, not only is this a great poem, but it is also a great idea. I too think that this planet is way toomuch into war. Why is it that everything must be met with a fight?

Jealousy Candice,
always believing the grass is greener on the other side of the fence!
Hold on, that's what my thoughts in this poem are!! Or am I only hoping for something better and not trying to take it or ruin it for those who've simply made the best of what they've got?
Yes that's it!
Anyway thankyou again for your much appreciated thoughts on my writing attempts.

With love
Dean:-)
