Quite merrily grazing, just an hour ago
They're slaughtering us all, with a bolt to the brain
I'm watching my friends blood, drip into the drain

I see dead carcass, lying flat out
Skins lying in bundles, being kicked about
I want to escape, but there's no way I can run
Moving up the line, it'll soon be my turn

I see them being carved up, hear bones as they crunch
My friends being prepared, to become sunday lunch
What did we do, to be slaughtered this way
We should be free, to roam and to play

My time has come, I'm not a dumb beast
You barbaric animals, on us you feast
I move up the line, with a shuddering jolt
As fired into my brain, is that deadly bolt

Well, lol, you certainly succeeded in putting me off of my lunch! Dark subject matter but a very good write. Still think I will have that filet for dinner though. The food chain thing, you know?
