The Trap of Disappoinment

Contributed by WorthlesSanity666 on Sunday, 18th April 2004 @ 10:47:59 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

****** and hurt,
yet too tired to care.
I slipped up again,
I allowed myself to be vulnerable.
I trusted too much and
fell into the same
trap,
the trap of disappointment.
I was let down for the
millionth time.
I'm sick of all this.
I'm sick of
being taken advantage of.
Why can't I
ever catch a break?
Why does it
always have to be me?
Oh well,
maybe this will
finally teach me...
But I know it won't.
I know that I'll
follow the same pattern for the
rest of my life.
It is my destiny and fate to
have my heart ripped out
and steepled on.

I know how you feel.

"All the walls close in upon you
your escape seems very dim
but if you have hope with in you
Even this battle you'll win"

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
