Array ( [sid] => 4360 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Tears from Heaven [time] => 2002-09-28 07:40:00 [hometext] => This was written six months after the death of
our little sixteen year old, Ailie Anna Pearson,
"We will meet again someday" [bodytext] => Some say tears come from heaven,
then this must be a river of love,
cause I'm crying inside for an angel,
my child that lives up above,
It's so hard to look onto tomorrow,
when it's raining inside of my soul,
some say tears come from heaven,
Dear Lord, it's so hard to let go,
I'm crying inside for an angel,
where no-one can see how I feel,
at times I cry in the darkness,
and wonder if this is for real,
some say tears come from heaven,
then this must be a river of love,
Dear Lord, it seems like yesterday,
that I was surrounded by unconditional love,
This little one brightened my world,
and made my days seem, so right,
I'm crying inside for an angel,
please tell her I love her tonight,
some say tears come from heaven,
then why do I feel so alone,
it seems I'm stuck in a circle,
and lost inside of a dome,
Many knew I called her an angel,
and gave her the best that I could,
some say tears come from heaven,
Dear Lord, you must of seen that I would,
I'm crying inside for an angel,
the beat of my heart in the morn'
my little one cherished forever,
my true love so precious and warm,
some say tears come from heaven,
then this must be a river of love,
cause I'm crying inside for an angel,
my child who lives up above! [comments] => 11 [counter] => 323 [topic] => 39 [informant] => Valerie_Pearson [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

Oh Val....I am soooo sorry for your loss... I can't even begin to imagine the grief you must face. My prayers and thoughts will be with you...hoping that the grief gets easier to bear..(If that's possible)

Val, that poem is very beautiful- straight from the breaking of your heart. I lost a son - he was 19. Every time you hear of a parent losing a beloved child, it takes you right back, and you wish with all your heart that no one would ever have to experience this crushing loss. I have to find a poem that some one sent me, and I will send it to you. May God bless you. Dot(meme@kynd.com)

This is the poem that someone sent me when our son (who also died in a car accident) was killed.
To all Parents

I'll lend you for a little while
A child of mine, He said
For you to love the while he lives
And mourn for when he's dead.

It may be six or seven years
Or twenty two or three
But, will you, 'til I call him back
Take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you
And shall his stay be brief
You'll have his lovely memories
As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay
Since all from earth return
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
I've looked the wide world over
In my search for teachers true
And from the throngs that crowd life's lane
I have selected you.

Now you give him all your love
Nor think the labor vain
Nor hate me when I come to call
To take him back again.
I fancied that I heard them say
Dear Lord, thy will be done.
For all the joys the child shall bring
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness
We'll love him while we may
And for the happiness we've known
Forever grateful stay.

But shall the angels call for him
Much sooner than we planned
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand.

This still makes me cry- and it will be 22 yrs. in November that we lost our dear son, Brett

Dot

I must say i have lost 2 of my own
but not in this depth of where they
had already been with me for such
a long time here on earth, i can't say
i know what your going through with
this but i can say my heart deeply
goes out to you, Thank you for finding
the strength and courage to share this

My heart goes out to you Valerie. Can't begin to imagine the loss you have suffered but know that I do care. As do many others. Yes- I know you will meet again. I really do believe that. May God strengthen you and keep you in the palm of His hand.
