Watching people pass by,
but they never stayed
The brilliant sunlight came piercing through the overhead skylight
Some of these people looked like creatures of the night
A woman in pink shorts rushed into the Bath and Body Works store
Her face was tense to purchase something she loved and needed more
A child runs to join her Asian mother
but playing it seems she would rather
A clerk in a nereby store
straightens jewelry for others to adore
Three black women laughed and chatted about a conversation they had
While another woman cursed and seemed really mad
They walk by sometimes in silence
oblivious to others
Concentrating on that special gift for their mothers.
A young mother carries a baby on her hips
her language is obscene as it sprawls from her lips
Much too revealing clothing leads you not to wonder why
She had a child too young, you can only sigh
So many different faces, some very new
Imagine if one of these could be you [comments] => 4 [counter] => 163 [topic] => 21 [informant] => bandit2 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

nice poem...wonder what people are thinking as they where they go.... I wonder if people could even tell you what they are wondering, worrying or even dreaming about as they go to the Mall...I haven't been to no mall in a while but even the peoplejust on teh street are busy with life that they don't seem to care jsut awaht is going on in the world...I do love the phrase ..STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES!
thanks sis!
