[bodytext] => Close your eyes- Shield yourself from the visions of violence Breath in the fresh air- Before it gets too polluted Stick your tongue out- To taste the acid rain drops. It is burning and itching A scab that you pick at Opens up new wounds And exposes what was once covered up. Take a shower To wash away all bad memories But it is only temporary Because tonight they will reappear as nightmares. Sit in the corner Rock back and forth Find that comfort of a cage You remember so well. Atleast you knew that as long as the closet stayed locked You stayed out of harms way. Thank God for that much. Squeezing your fists so tight Only sheds more blood on the carpet Fingernails dig into the flesh What a beautiful sight. You know its gotten bad When it takes pain To feel anything at all. You know its gotten bad When every breath Is caught because of fear. You know its gotten bad When you cry Just to feel all right.
