A sun sinks so low it touches the ground
Your sweet lullaby runs through my head
A shattered dream is what I've found

A broken knife scratches at my heart
For once I wish I didn't understand
Helplessly watching you fall apart
Your feelings in the palm of my hand

Quietly waiting for the next hallucinations
Thinking of you discovering new sensations
I destroyed your world but I don't feel sorry
What possessed me to turn into such a *****

I stare into the open arms of nothingness
My eyes glazed with emotional sickness
Somebody give me some new inspirations
Sick of hearing the same old incantations

I sympathise your answers; so pathetic
What's the point in even trying to explain
Can't teach an old dog new tricks
So I might aswell start all over again

Since I brought your world crashing down
My guilt creates shadows over me
You can senselessly try talking me around
Anything to make you happy

Body gashed and promises broken
These words are better off left unspoken
Crimson blood stains my hands
Reminding how they took such demands

Laying gracefully in your plastic coffin
Still so beautiful though you're dead
My forgotten conscience keeps on yellin'
The voices screaming in my head

I reach for the spade and fill the ground
Unidentified hatred lingering around
I hang around a while and slowly sigh
As I whisper to a corpse my sweet goodbye

A faded moon eclipses the world
A sun sinks so low it touches the ground
Your sweet lullaby runs through my head
A tainted world is what I've found. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Queen_Dolly [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
