I was put on a pedestal and given a crown
I wanted to fight, and he held me back
Held me tight when I thought I was going to crack
Made me smile when all I could do was frown
He held me up when I had started to drown
I wanted to run, but he stayed at my side
Always told him the truth, but he thought I had lied
After a while a drastic change
Was once fully stable, now begins to derange
But I fear it's too late, I'm in too deep
He holds the door as I sit on the floor and weep
I wanted to go out but he held me in
No matter what I do, I can never win
Wanted to sleep but he shook me awake
The bonds of sanity have started to break
I wanted to run, but he held me down
I wanted to fly, but he held me down
I started to cry as he held me down
The blood came out flowing as he pushed my head down
My breaths came out fewer as I layed on the ground
Who is this I once knew and loved
Who is this glaring down from above
I wanted to leave, but he held me back
I hear the sound of my skull beginning to crack
I take my last breath and shed my last tear
At least now I will have nothing more to fear
I should've got out after the very first round
I wanted to live, but he just held me down.

She sounds as though she's living in her own private living hell... one from which there is no escape...
Good write... loved it...

This piece sounds so true in the accordance of being with some one for stablility, not for love. It sounds like unity without the flux of indivisualility. It is a great write. But sad in the meaning I find. Good job.
