WICKED LADY

"WICKED LADY"

Fear inspiring body
no morals, merciless, agonizing
ageless aching, endless, n'er ailing.
sharp, piercing, throbbing, gnawing,
without conscience, unfeeling, this
"Wicked Lady!"

Penetrates deeply, vicious means
extremely subtle, rarely weans
raw, insensitive, pulsating state
unreasonable, no tender abate, this
"Wicked Lady!"

Victim's darkest shadow
unmatched intensity forlorn echo
befriended by no one, alone......
intrudes n'er welcome, unknown this
"Wicked Lady!"

Verocious insatiable appetite
waits patiently, insensate attack
personality cruel, unbearable
chisled cripple 'tis her chattle, this
"Wicked Lady!"

Severs twisted nerves
torturous wrack undeserves
wee morning hours unrelenting
no compromise, nor repenting
gut wrenching reign, this
"Wicked Lady"......
`
known
`
to
`
all
`
as
`
Pain!

Pain is the most individulized thing on earth
It is true that it is the great common bond as
well, but that realization only comes
when it is over.
To suffer is to be alone.
To watch another suffer is to know the barrier
that shuts each of us away by himself.
Only individuals can suffer!
~Edith Hamilton~

Beautiful through out. It is one thing that separates us and yet bonds us together like steel. It does feel so good when it leaves us.

Thank you for sharing.

I am so sorry to hear of your pain. When I first saw the picture I thought WOW now that's a body. After reading the poem I now know that the wicked lady is pain. May she be vanquished forever!

I love the incredible sense of alternate vocabulary, completely altering the mental view created by each word, with so much more meaning...

Vey detailed, yet vague in all the right places...

Very well done!

She is a very wicked lady and totally demanding. She refuses to let go of you for one minute. I pray for your release from her grasping fingers. Hope you are better soon, my friend.

Love,
Rita

I guessed who she was. I know she is torturing you. I will keep praying. You let us know how you are. A very vivid portrayal.

A wonderful description of pain, which is ever so personal, known to so many and despised by all. Very good write.

Ahh.. pain that wicked wicked lady indeed I too have felt a timbre of her most horrendous touch. Once during my gentle tumble with a speeding motorcylce and thence with the breaking of my heart... I know my meager collections of pain is perhaps not as crippling as others nor as immersive temporally as yours have been...but its touch is familiar to me too. Once again you have captured a face of the many visages of this world and shared it with us in a way most pleasing...bravo and bon chance.
