She speaks not one word
She stares and stands quietly
For little girls shouldn't be heard.
I took one single white sheet
With a white glorious feather pen
For she wouldn't admit defeat
So I told her to write about her friend.
She took a seat near the window
And gazed out to the sky
The stars against her cheeks did glow
As she released a soft, long sigh.
She pondered the act of betrayal
And declared her friend would not allow
Now the paper did seem quite dull
And she glanced at it with a frown.
She decided to draw me a picture
She painted blood, and celestial skies
She drew a little girl being tortured
And wrote beside it the question why? [comments] => 3 [counter] => 162 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Queen_Dolly [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

I have worked with these children and the very sad answer is there is not answer! Their very souls are traumatized and there is no going back or forgetting. The memories are always there and it is a long road to back to normal life. It is heartbreaking to see and no that nothing ever changes, it still continues every day.
