An unwilling poster-child for conformity
Yet another pasty face in a faceless crowd
But what burns inside is slowly killing me

What lurks within is a disease no pill can cure
What eats me from the inside, I cannot heal
The only physical evidence is scars on my wrists
Destructive signs of the emotional pain I feel

I feel empty, like a lifeless, soulless vessel
I know I can stop the pain, there’s only one way
I close my eyes and visualise life without pain
And it is beautiful. And I know I cannot stay

My bullets; metallic tickets to a life without pain
My pistol; a passport to an existence free of sorrow
I shed a tear, knowing that I am leaving a lot behind
But I know I cannot live through another tomorrow

My temple tastes the cold iron of the pistol’s chamber
I pull the hammer back with a single resonating click
I feel my fingers embrace the gun’s unforgiving trigger
And with one tug, life’s candle reaches the end of its wick

wow. what vivid imagery. this is the kind of poem that reaches out and grabs you by your heartstrings. i know because i've been there. all i can say to you is that things will get better, as much as it might anger you to hear. hold on! keep writing!
