I feel your tenderness reaching inside me
Soul navigating toward soul
Curling around each other
When the winds blow cold in our faces
Our teary eyes say no more
About what we have lost
Give it up to the past like we said we would
Let the ghosts feast on that corpse
While we walk side by side for the very first time
Feeling everything from the beginning
Equal parts of you and me moving forward
Unplanned and unexpected we happened
Chance formed us for this one moment
When happiness could be ours
With fingers eager to explore the contours
We have only seen from distant shores
Carefully we stroke with tender words
Before passion’s storm sweeps us away
In blissful torrents, we have waited for so long

When distance interferes with love the wait is gruesome. It weighs on the mind, altering thoughts, fueling insecurires but love is a mystical thing. It can break boundaries unheard of and it can navigate souls toward each other with no thought to time or distance in miles.

But there are times when I use to wish that my arms were long enough to comfort when words were not enough.

God have I rambled on this one...

A deeply touching poem...

Kie
