I say goodbye
Thank you for the scars

To the girl who ripped out my chest
I wish you the best
Thank you for the stars

Where did you go
Why did you leave me here with my heart in my hands
It’s empty tonight
I’ll fill it up so you can knock it over again

November days, are slipping away
And the leaves are falling down
And these brown eyes, look to the sky
As the rain crashes to the ground

To the girl who meant everything
This double knot’s for you
I’ll tie it so tight, I’ll tie it just right
So the weight won’t pull it loose

Where did you go
Why did you leave me here with my heart in my hands
It’s empty tonight
I’ll fill it up so you can knock it over again

November days, are slipping away
And the leaves are falling down
And these brown eyes, look to the sky
As the rain crashes to the ground

I’ll be gone unless you hold me up
Please don’t say you’re far away
It won’t be long and I’ll be cold enough
To freeze up the pain

Where did you go
Why did you leave me here with my heart in my hands
It’s empty tonight
I’ll fill it up so you can knock it over again [comments] => 3 [counter] => 141 [topic] => 39 [informant] => paper-heart-hero [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

How vividly descriptive and full of emotion. I hope to read more like this. Truly spectacular. Also, it sounds like it would make a good song. If you're into music or up for the challenge, you could put it to music. It honestly sounds like something you'd hear on the radio. Contact me if you ever decide to put it to melody. Bravo and encore!!!!!!!
Love,
Chels

There are no words that could summarize how this poem made me feel, but it was beautiful to say the VERY least. That was earth shattering sad and absolutely bittersweet.
