(Lover's Flight)

I am not blind
But surely I am more than blind,
For I see in your gaze
Glimpses of warmth and laughter,
Sowing future days.

I am not deaf
But am I not more than deaf?
For I hear in your voice
Silken possibilities,
To make the soul rejoice.

And no, I am not dumb
But wish I had no voice,
When my words stumble over familiar terrain
Like a cripple learning to walk again.

For a short time, though
I blossomed in your light,
And sheared the sky on wings of pure delight.

Have sympathy for Homo Imaginatio
Imagining relationships
At end or start,
Tightly coiled between head and heart. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 209 [topic] => 2 [informant] => spike [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 32 [ratings] => 7 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Gentle, yet strong. A softness yet the harsh reality of love and life . I find it beautiful to read but touches my heart in understanding ways. June

Oh my spike, this was amazing. And there ya go again
writing all my emotions down on paper. This was nothing
short of magnificent. A cleverly mastered and illustrated
write about a subject most of us are all too familiar with.
(But look at the work it inspires...)

Great job, my friend!
