The English title should be [bodytext] => The Malay warrior,
descending to the ring.
His dagger asunder,
long Kris unsheathing.

Dancing the rhythm,
stepping in cadence.
A floral arrangement,
but a strong deadly stance.

For my country's grandeur,
the the Sultan's royal grace.
all enemies that appear,
shall I conquer and disgrace.

Bloodied besmear,
besplattered by blood.
All acts of censure,
will I oppose and fight.

For the honour of Malays,
my nation's divine pride.
My life do I lay,
upon this sacrificial slab.

The Malay Warrior,
descending to the ring,
through trails asunder,
till death comes keening. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 235 [topic] => 43 [informant] => baronhawk [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Sorry fragmented info... The English title should be "The Malay Warrior Descending To The Ring".

and sorry about the double "the the" before Sultan in line two of the third stanza... my many typos man...

Wonderful translation, but I still feel the real essense of the poem lies in the Malay version, but this is a captivating write as well anyways =)
