Standing in the road,

I wish you were here now,
To grope and hold my hand,
You left this world because of me,
This thought I cannot stand,

I wish I healed your pain,
And nestled you in my arms,
Kept you close by my heart,
Away from all life’s harms,

I wish I had told you,
How much you meant to me,
Told the world your mine to keep,
The one to set you free,

I wish that I had noticed,
Our silent, secret love,
Too late had I found this,
And now you’re in heaven above,

I wish you hadn’t spilt your blood,
In order to cure your pain,
And now that all has wrong again,

I wish that I had saw you,
Standing in the road,
Waiting for me all your life,
With the love you never showed,

I wish you were here now,
To grope and hold my hand,
You left this world because of me,
This thought I cannot stand,

its very good. emotional, describtive. says alot. i've been through something similiar, and it sucked. i will never forget it. tell you all about it sometime. but great poem.
