Waiting endless minutes
Turn to patient hours
Speculate on chances
See you in my head
Smiling at something I said
Working on independence
When will it become freedom
You said that one word
Woven into a sentence
Clever of you to think of that
It hangs in midair
Shiny and bright
Reflecting the light from within
Mouthwatering promises
We’ve already committed the sin
But have yet to cross that final line
Without assurances
We are getting what we bargained for
I touch each word from your mouth
Collecting them in my pockets
Later they will decompose
Each sentence fray and lose its meaning
But now the words are fresh
Gathering significance daily
As we seek love’s axis

An absolutely great write

I once waited for commitmant
Until I realized what a hit meant,
If you're gonna be a mark,
Do it with a graceous spark

The exchanged words
repeatedly chanted
lulling your mind
a functional trance
whispering inwardly
hardening, solidifying
becoming real
as if the words
could make
it all true

I hope so for you, Merry. I hope so for you.
Stitch
