So I smudge it
I tear the canvas
I break the brushes
Still I cannot get enough

And before you can wince
It’s over
A sudden eclipse on your face
We fell from grace

Tears falling down
Into the lake around you
The puddle spreads
With each and every insult we say

You were the angel
I was your devil
Your temptation
Your redemption
Your damnation

Wanting you
To still the hurt
But you can’t stand anymore
The holding of my arms

You want me to
Stay here, don’t leave
Not yet
There will be more to come
Maybe a fit, who knows?

Was it love?
Was it lust?
Was it yearning?
I don’t really remember

Then it was doubts
Then it was unconcern
Then it was ennui
Some of it still here

Now it’s just anger
Now it’s just hurt
Now it’s just lethargy
Can feel it lucidly

Now it’s over

Oh dear sounds like you've had a pretty bad case of heartbreak but you expressed it beautifully here, especially in the first verse. I loved the analogy of comparing love to art.

amazing...you can really sense every emotion and it's something that's easily related to.
