Locked away are the thoughts in my mind.
When you return the key I hope you will find.

My heart breaks more with every passing hour.
Sometimes I feel like a wilting flower.
I need nourishment, love, and light.
My happy place is out of my sight.

I will try to start feeling better very soon.
I swear it by the stars and the moon.
The fake smiles will become real and true.
Just as long as I can see you.

My feelings are hard to show to most.
But when I am with you I feel less lost.
When you come home it will be us at last.
All my bad memories I will leave in the past.

I promise to let go of all I hold.
I will try to be courageous and bold.
I promise to give you all that I can.

My feelings are hard to show.
How to share I don't even know.
Locked away are the thoughts in my mind.
When you return the key I hope you will find.

My heart breaks more with every passing hour.
