Lingering elegant raven black hair
Eyes the color of melancholy sapphires
Mesmerized, all he can do is stare.

She saunters into the room gradually
Each footstep taken with poise
Above all the commotion-and hullabaloo
His heartbeat is all he hears, no noise.

She smiles and his legs quake
She speaks and it pierces his soul
He is enthralled by her beauty
Before he recognizes it- she becomes his goal.

He reaches for her hand- “Shall we dance?”
She strolls perfectly into his arms
Her body and his- a flawless fit
He enchants her with his charms.

Embracing each other tightly
And peering expectantly into each others core
They lean in for the forever-anticipated kiss
And- He wakes up pleading for more.

A very enchanting reverie you have painted here...I can see her, almost as an angelic ballerina in pirouette; sharing the dance of a lifetime, and the feeling of newly ignited love. Breathtaking poem Lindsey.

Truly,
-Dan
