conceived you, the raging storm?
Your ardent intensity is far
too mighty for mankind
You sweep away whole lands
with a sole stroke of a finger
You reduce us mere mortals to
ants asphyxiating, flailing in water
Beauty in all its horrific splendour
has been awakened
Fall the scathing drops like glass
onto the glacial skin of the dead
Fall the funereal sky that
weeps so selfishly
Fall the pretty lightning
that serenades the thunder
As nature intensifies its massacre...

For the tempest
in its most primal rage
cannot be stopped. [comments] => 9 [counter] => 192 [topic] => 27 [informant] => Avarice_Riot [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )

This was wonderful. I view nature likewise....can be absolutely marvelous, or dreadful and lethal. I really enjoyed your imagery here, and the way you placed your words. Timing was great also......neatly flowing like the storm from the funeral sky to lightning strike to entertain the thunder....
Great Write
I enjoyed this tremendously

Ahh the tempest... such a powerful description of a powerful natural force. I had the same experience driving home to Penang recently onthe North-South highway for a TDY detached duty. Whilst there in my family home nearby the seas.. ohh what tempest wreaked upon my stay those days...captures herein your powerful write is the essence perhaps of that experience of that moment how futile we feel in the face of the tempest it fury! reminding us of the power of nature and God's mastery...vivid write indeed!

Wonderful poem, this one...
Your imagery is so strong, it's almost like a movie. The power of your words seems ready to burst out of them...
Worshipping a forbidden God..it's both chilling and thrilling...
Hugs,
Hur
