her tree-lined retreat
a touch in the dark
a truth too stark
a silent scream
a crushed dream
her sanity beat
the forest is where she's from.

The forest is where it started
no where to run
a long road of pain
a moment's disdain
a simple trip
an innocence whipped
the forest is where it all started.

The forest is where she goes
when the walls close in
a rush too steep
a limit to keep
a laughing memory
a missing key
when she bears all sin
the forest is where she needs to go.

The forest her sanctuary
with all her little walls
that is where she ran from
that is from where she came undone
that is where she hides when they come
that is where she can only run
just as long as she doesn't fall
the forest is forever her bitter sanctuary. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 48 [informant] => jaeann [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I love this poem. We all have a place in our lives that we must go to get away from the world. Keep up the great work. I enjoy your unique style, it sets you apart from everybody else. It is what makes you unique. And I love uniqueness.
